Welcome. This site is a collection of things that represent me, that I enjoy doing and and that I am available to do for hire.
While I generally make my living from technology-related projects, I have a wealth of other experiences that I use in everyday life. Some of these are for work, some for enjoyment, some for both. When setting out to put together a new resume, I was uncomfortable with the idea that we must be limited to narrow paths, and high degrees of specialization. This idea runs counter to who I am. I often feel that confining ourselves to a single professional activity leads to a much duller life. We are all much more than just one set of skills, much more than any professional or personal title such as "programmer", "writer" or "web guy" can convey. Sadly, we are forced by economics and simple conditioning to be cramped, not broad, in our interests and development.
This site is my attempt to go in another direction. My goal is to find freelance work. I love the flexibility that discrete projects allow me in my life. I love the freedom to control my own schedule and pursue various interests while coming in contact with a wonderful variety of people and projects.
