Project Description ​

Chrome extension to facilitate Wikimedia Commons image search and insert when editing a Wikipedia article in source mode. While there is an interface for doing this while editing in visual mode, I could not find a tool that helped a user in source editing mode.

Key elements ​

The plugin does the following:

  • Searches wikimedia library and displays results (10 per page) with next and back buttons
  • Clicking on any images inserts media source into editor
  • User can then replace placeholder caption or make other changes
